On March 28-29 2017, the Hellenic Ministry of Health in collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for Europe organized a two-day conference on "Policy Dialogue on Public Health Reform in Greece: Public Health in the 21^st century". In the context of the conference, Prof. Pagona Lagiou spoke on "The role of noncommunicable diseases and associated risk factors in the burden of disease in Greece." Prof. Lagiou presented relevant data on Greece, including preliminary data from the Hydria project, and identified priorities for public health interventions.
