On October 29 2011, Professor Antonia Trichopoulou was honored with the highest distinction of the Federation of the European Nutrition Societies (FENS), an award presented every four years to a scientist with research contributions of international acclaim in the field of nutrition and its relation to health. The award was presented in the context of the 11^th International Conference of the Federation, held in Madrid, Spain.
