On October 29 2011, the collaborator of HHF, Dr. Philippos Orfanos received the 1^st AXON award for best oral communication with the title: "Incidence of hip fracture and diet in a cohort of elderly Greeks. The CHANCES project". The award was presented in the context of the 11^th European Nutrition Conference, FENS, held in Madrid, Spain.
