On 29 July 2013, the Association of Greek Food Industries (ΣΕΒΤ) organized in Athens the award ceremony of the 3^rd Contest of Innovative Food Products "ECOTROPHELIA 2013". Focusing on innovation, as an important pillar of development, and in support of the new generation towards the creation of novel food products (foods or drinks), ΣΕΒΤ organized the Competition ECOTROPHELIA for the 3^rd year in a row, attracting many competitors The competition has revealed the talents of young Greek scientists in the food industry but also highlights the strength of the industry in Europe, since, in the next level, those who won first place in the national competition will participate in the European one, with the winners of 19 other Countries, at the International Exhibition of Foods and Drinks "ANUGA", to be held in Cologne, Germany, on 6-7 October 2013. Professor Trichopoulou, Vice President of the Hellenic Health Foundation, participated in the national jury contributing to the selection of the winner.
