Event description
The 2nd Plenary Meeting aimed to summarize the goals and the problems confronted during the 1st year of the project, mostly regarding management and harmonization and to set the goals for the second stage of the project.

The EC Scientific Officer, who attended the meeting, highlighted the importance of the CHANCES project, as the only large-scale research project in the area of Public Health with respect to healthy ageing.

An update on the progress of the CHANCES project from the management point of view was presented during the meeting, as well as an overview of the dissemination activities that took place during the 1st year of the project.

A detailed description of data harmonization procedures undertaken during the 1st year of the project, as well as of the scheduled steps for the successful continuation of this important task, were presented by the PI of WP8 (responsible for data harmonization). All partners were requested to continue being actively involved in the data standardization and harmonisation process, in order to ensure the timely transformation of the original data, which would allow several analyses to be carried out.
